The principle behind every change: the current section order is fine and stays. What changes is what each section contains and where it comes from. Preply's template works because its data layers (tutor cards, prices, subject-specific answers) sit in the server HTML. Ours will too, inside the skeleton Nate already built.
No visual change. One structural question for Nate: the mega-nav is about 830 words and sits before the H1 in source order. Google's grounding reads roughly the first 2,000 words; ChatGPT's snippet is anchored on the H1 and the ~200 characters after it. If the nav can render after <main> in the DOM (CSS order, not a visual change), the page's first words become the hero instead of the menu. Not a blocker for the rest of this build.
K12 Tutoring is an online tutoring service that pairs students with state-certified teachers for one-on-one sessions. [N] of our tutors teach Algebra 1, rated 4.9/5 across [N] REVIEWS.io reviews. Your child's first hour with a certified teacher is free.

H1. Today the hero heading on this page is an H2 ("Algebra 1 Tutoring For Clearer Problem Solving"). Algebra 2 and Geometry have H1s, so this is a page fix, not a template fix. The H1 should name the course and the format and match the title tag.
Answer-first paragraph. New. Replaces the one-line subhead. Three jobs in three sentences: define the entity, state the course-specific numbers, state the free-hour offer. No dollar figures on this page (decision Oct 8). Everything after the H1 that a model will quote lives here. Numbers are rendered from data so they stay true.
Breadcrumb. Already in schema; make it visible.
Stat tiles. Unchanged. Brand-level numbers are fine here.
Stays for the parent. Trim each card to one line; the current copy repeats "Our Algebra 1 tutors help students" three times. This section carries no citation weight and shouldn't push the pricing and tutor sections further down than it already does.
Unchanged. This is already the equivalent of Preply's specialty cluster (Spanish for kids, conversational, business), just styled. The six spokes exist and are linked. These links also repeat in the plain cluster at section 8 so the crawl path doesn't depend on the card markup.
Unchanged. Preply marks this up as HowTo schema; we don't need to. Google retired HowTo rich results and the Ahrefs matched study found no AI-citation lift from JSON-LD. One copy tweak: step 2 can say "Algebra 1 tutors" since the page now has them.
[N] state-certified teachers on K12 Tutoring teach Algebra 1. Here are 8 of them. Browse all Algebra 1 tutors ›
What's wrong today. Three featured tutors, the same three on every math page and the homepage, no bios, no credentials. Alyssa P., listed first on Algebra 1, teaches kindergarten through 5th grade per her own booking profile. No Algebra 1 in her course list.
What replaces it. Six to eight tutors whose booking-site Courses list includes "Algebra 1", rendered into the HTML from a nightly feed, each with: name, photo, grade levels, years, one credential line, rating and review count, profile link. This is a query, not a curation; the booking site already uses the marketing site's course names.
What the booking profile gives us today (server-rendered): Grade Levels, Years, Tutoring Specialties, Bio, Teacher Specialization (credentials in free text), Courses. What it doesn't: ratings load by JavaScript, and certification isn't a structured field. First release can ship without the rating line if the feed can't carry it.
This is also the section Nate has pushed for since spring. The data is public and indexed already; what's new is routing it to the page that needs it.

This is today's "Start With a Free Algebra 1 Tutoring Session" block, same position. It stays an offer, not a pricing module. No dollar figures on subject pages; the link goes to /pricing/, which already carries the numbers and is already the cost page AI engines cite. Draft 1 proposed a price table here and above the tutors; removed Oct 8 on the conversion read (premium price point, package buyers, maintenance).
Two small changes: name the course and "state-certified teacher" in the offer line, and add the guarantee strip as the risk-reversal element (our version of Preply's "try two more tutors free").
Linear equations and inequalities, functions and graphing, systems of equations, exponents, polynomials, factoring, and quadratic equations. Tutors work from the student's own class materials so sessions match what's being taught that week.
The first hour is free. After that, families pay per session or save with a tutoring package. Current rates are on our pricing page.
State-certified teachers. [N] tutors on the platform list Algebra 1 among their courses; most hold secondary math certification and have taught it in a classroom.
Pre-Algebra builds number sense and introduces variables. Algebra 1 is where students solve and graph equations, work with functions, and factor. A tutor will check Pre-Algebra foundations first if a student is struggling early in Algebra 1.
The tutor reviews recent assignments and tests, identifies where the student is getting stuck, and sets two or three goals. The free first hour is used for this.
Once a week keeps pace with a typical course. Twice a week for a student who is behind or has an end-of-course exam coming.
Yes. Tutors diagnose the gap, often in earlier skills, and rebuild from there. K12 Tutoring's Grade & Satisfaction Guarantee applies to extended tutoring.
Yes. Sessions use the student's textbook, assignments, and upcoming tests. Tutors are familiar with the common Algebra 1 sequences and state end-of-course exams.
Usually 8th or 9th grade. K12 Tutoring tutors work with both middle school and high school Algebra 1 students.
Yes. See Honors Algebra 1 Tutoring and Advanced Algebra 1 Tutoring.
Today: four questions, identical on Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Math and 8th Grade Math. The word "algebra" appears in none of them. Preply's twelve FAQs are the one section where subject specificity is unmistakable, and ours has none.
Replace with eight to ten Algebra 1 questions. Answers are shown here as drafts to make the shape concrete; Laura owns the final copy and the FAQ generation system with the 11-category taxonomy already exists. Rules: answers expanded in the HTML (accordion is fine if the text is in the source), one H3 per question, the page's own numbers injected where a number belongs, the existing "Read More" links to /faqs/ pages kept because they feed the FAQ sitemap. The cost question stays but points to /pricing/ rather than carrying figures; "who teaches" is the answer most likely to be lifted into an AI response.
FAQPage JSON-LD stays as Google hygiene. It won't move AI citations; the text will.
Today: "Explore More Math Subjects," eight sibling links with a paragraph of intro. Becomes a plain-text cluster in five groups: spokes, grade intersections, siblings, parent guides, Beacon. All of these pages exist. This is Preply's seven-cluster block at K12 scale: the crawl-path layer, unstyled on purpose.
Grade intersections are the links we don't expose anywhere today. "8th Grade Math" and "High School" both exist as pages; the Algebra 1 page should connect to them.
Unchanged. One editorial note: all three current articles are "why algebra is hard" pieces. When the cost and comparison content track ships (Track A in the primer), swap one slot for the Algebra 1 cost guide. That's the article type AI engines actually cite.
The first hour is free. Book with a state-certified Algebra 1 teacher today.

No change. Preply uses the footer as a full template inventory (every subject page linked from every page). Ours already does that through the mega-nav; no need to duplicate.
| Item | Today | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Online Algebra 1 Tutoring | K12 Tutoring | Keep. H1 should match it. |
| Meta description | "Help your child understand equations, functions, and graphs..." | Keep; add "state-certified teachers" and the free first hour. |
| Organization | Two blocks: Yoast (K12Tutoring handles) and an older one (Stride handles, contact points) | Remove the older block. One Organization, one set of sameAs, on every page. |
| FAQPage | Four generic questions | Regenerate from the new FAQ entries. Google hygiene only. |
| WebPage, BreadcrumbList, WebSite | Present | Keep. |
| ItemList of Person (tutor module) | None | Add, low priority. Trust and hygiene, not a citation lever. Links Organization to tutors to course. |
| Offer (free first hour) | None | Add, low priority, same reason. No price property. |
| HowTo, LocalBusiness | None | Skip. Preply has them; no evidence they move citations. |
The ordering principle from the Oct 1 research brief: text in the server HTML moves citations; JSON-LD doesn't (Ahrefs matched study, 1,885 pages vs 4,000 controls, no lift on any platform; ChatGPT strips it before the model sees it). So the schema rows above are the last thing built, not the first, and the one that matters most is the removal of the conflicting Organization block.

How we'll know
Math pages only, since 60 of the 100 tracked Writesonic prompts are math. Matched pairs or stepped rollout across the math subject pages, eight weeks, platforms reported separately. Mirrors (stage., perf., dev.) noindexed before baseline or the numbers are unreadable. The first thing to watch is whether the "who teaches" and "what does a tutor cover" answers start appearing in responses to the math prompts.
Not in this wireframe
The comparison and cost article track (the thing that actually moved Preply's number). The 8th Grade Math legacy template migration. Person schema and https canonicals on the booking site. All real, all separate.
